About the Brand

Considered a smaller brand that can compete with the biggest names, Greubel Forsey (groy⬝buhl for⬝see) has established itself as a watchmaker that produces some of the world's most beautiful, creative luxury timepieces. Their most popular— and most expensive— watch, the Grande Sonnerie, is the best example of that. Exceedingly complicated, this wristwatch took 11 years to develop, features three different chiming modes, and has nearly 1,000 parts.

History of Greubel Forsey Watches

Founded in 2004 by Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey, the vision behind this Swiss watch company was a refusal to accept that everything had been done already. Instead, they focused on creating innovative timepieces that no one had seen before. Each timepiece created by Greubel Forsey—and there are only 100 made each year—is held to the same level of excellence from the first step to the last.

Each of the seven timepiece inventions by Greubel Forsey, the Double Tourbillon 30° Quadruple Tourbillon, Tourbillon 24 Secondes, Balancier Spiral Binôme, Différentiel d’Egalité, Double Balancier and Le Computeur Mécanique, is a functioning work of art that bridges the gap between plain practicality and creative, artistic expression. While these timepieces are expensive, they are a beautiful addition to any collection.
